Of course. What do you take me for? French?
This amuses me greatly.
I shave, just in the right areas~ ;3
Well, that’s an awkward question.
France and I…yes, you can say he is my Papa. But he kind of forfeit that title when he sold me to England in order to pay off his war debts. And I was chosen simply because I didn’t produce sugar like the southern islands did. Suddenly, fur hats weren’t the rage, and I was a useless, barren wasteland.
And then when we do meet up again, he insults me by saying my French is…antiquated and derogatory, and reminds him of something he wold rather forget. Excuse me for not being able to keep up to date with your French due to distance and circumstances. Excuse me that my French is based on a system you used before the Revolution and had scrapped because it was “outdated, like your Nobles”.
Also, the stunt your boss pulled in 1967 that pretty much led to the October Crisis wasn’t welcome. I don’t care if you came crawling back later to apologize, I didn’t appreciate it one bit.
…
Pardon, that was…off topic, wasn’t it? What was the question again?Cher Matthew,
I can understand your frustration of everything, you face explains it all to me. Mais, should I really be blamed for something that my leader has decided? Do I have a voice in what he says? Non. If anything, if you pay attention to what happend afterwards, after being oppressed for so long, there was no more monarchy in France. Perhaps something that may have leaded to my downfall, but certainly I have no regrets of throwing down the monarchy from its throne.
As for the French… sans commentaire. En fait, I’m more enough to say that it’s true, I’m nitpicky with your French mais isn’t England nitpicky with your English as well?(Afterall, it’s a mix of English and American English.)So in the end, the country who has brought you to war, rewarded your soldiers with a badge of bravery has every right be considered a father to you than the country who has given you part of his land to thank you for assisting us in the country, even if you weren’t even part of my Empire anymore? Hmm.
As for Charles de Gaulle… mon Dieu. You must understand that first, like my previous argument, I have no control over what my bosses do. (It’d be like accusing you of actually believing everything that Harper says, quel horreur!) Second, do realize that this man has lived through both wars, and has seen my invasion and that I had became a German-controlled area. Saying “Vive le Québec libre!” wasn’t the wisest choice of words. You can imagine he could have said during the wars that he mentionned: “Vive la France libre!” This was probably something said often, especially when your father, your brother, others in his commonwealth… yourself has come to my rescue in which I am ever so grateful even today. All to say that the real damage hadn’t even began in 1967, selon mes recherches, it is truly in 1980s which is at least a decade later.Had it been that uproaring, it would have done so immediately. Least to say, Gaulle has done damage to a lot of people and I’m greatly penalized and judged for it.
À plus mon cher Matthew, mon fils,
Think better of me.

Well…when you put it that way…I guess I would be kind of a heel if I didn’t accept your apology and move on. It’s kind of stupid to live in the past…And you’re right: they are such silly and trivial reasons. I don’t hate you, Papa, I never did, but I was a little…bitter, I suppose. But I’m bigger than that. I’ve forgiven people for far worse. It would be foolish of me to keep living in the past and never look forward.
Like other Nations.
Forgive me, Papa. Let’s start over.

Mais non, I just wanted you to understand my point of view.
Here, have a teddy bear. <3 From me.
You are my son, I never ask for forgiveness. Only for your love. <3
Je t’aime chéri~
Et oui, let’s start over! <3
